At Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool, I lead infrastructure operations for an environment supporting approximately 1,480 learners, 170 staff and 375+ managed computers. I plan, operate and continually improve enterprise systems across networking, Microsoft 365, security, continuity and end-user technology.
I've modernised a campus network spanning 50–60 switches and 118 wireless access points, refreshed perimeter security from FortiGate 100D to FortiGate 600E, and supported migration to a two-node Windows Server 2022 Hyper-V cluster hosting 13 production virtual machines. I also implemented layered backup and disaster recovery using Synology, off-site replication and Microsoft cloud services.
I combine hands-on systems integration with procurement, vendor coordination, project budgets and technical mentoring. I enjoy shaping practical, maintainable technology foundations for classroom modernisation, new-build projects and long-term growth.
