Efrain Kashuu

I’m a motivated student and bilingual translator fluent in English and Swahili, based in Nairobi, Kenya. I developed a strong academic and communication foundation at Elim Group of Schools, and I’m driven by the goal of making information accessible across languages and cultures.

As a freelance translator (_Self-Employed_) since 2023, I translate academic materials, social media posts, and app/UX text between English and Swahili. I adapt translations for formal, business, and Gen Z audiences, ensuring the content stays culturally relevant and clear.

I’m also experienced as an Academic Support Translator (_Elim Group of Schools / Student Groups_) from 2022 to 2023, where I assisted students with translating assignments and research from English to Kiswahili. During school events and presentations, I provided interpretation to support understanding in real time.

I’m known for reliability, attention to detail, and fast delivery—working up to 1500–2000 words per day with a 24–48 hour turnaround, including an emphasis on an “100% on-time rate.” I combine translation, proofreading, localization, transcription, and subtitling skills with tools like Google Docs, MS Word, Canva, Zoom, and basic CAT tools.
