What I'm looking for
I am a registered Industrial Psychologist and seasoned higher education expert. With over 15 years of experience in senior management, I provide consulting services on strategic matters pertaining to organizational development, operating model design, and institutional governance, as well as operational matters such as student systems, data audits, and administration. I possess extensive expertise in psychometric assessments, team building, and group dynamics. I have worked as an HR expert and HR Team Lead in local and international projects.
I have a doctoral degree in Industrial Psychology and a master's degree in human resource management. Since 2020, I have been a part-time senior lecturer at the University of Pretoria, teaching on the future of work and strategic human resource management for masters students. In 2021, I was chosen as a panelist for the Nobel Prize Dialogue on Future of Work, which was hosted by the University of Pretoria.
I am involved in national regulations and compliance related to the schooling and higher education sectors in South Africa. I was a member of the South African Joint Admissions Committee of Universities South Africa (USAf), which was charged with providing advice to the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation on admission policies, practices, and regulations. In 2018, I was appointed by the Minister of Basic Education to the Council for General and Further Education and Training Quality Assurance (Umalusi), where I was elected chairperson of the ICT Committee of Council and chairperson of the Accreditation Committee of Council. In 2022, I was reappointed by the Minister of Basic Education for a second four-year term on Umalusi Council and reappointed as chairperson of the Accreditation Committee of Council and elected as an EXCO member.
