Carlos Javier User

I'm an IT professional with over 35 years of experience in Information Technology, with a strong specialization in accounting and administrative management systems. My career began in Cuba, where I worked in accounting data entry and later moved into hands-on IT support — repairing hardware, resolving software issues, and assisting end users directly.

For most of my career, I worked at DESOFT, an information systems development company, where I served as an Accounting Systems Specialist. There, I implemented, configured, and deployed accounting management systems such as Versat Sarasola and Atenas, trained users on how to operate them effectively, and provided ongoing technical support to keep production environments running smoothly. I also worked with SQL Server for database management and gained early experience in COBOL programming.

More recently, I've expanded into ERP platforms like Odoo, and I now work independently as a consultant, helping businesses implement and troubleshoot their accounting and ERP systems remotely.

What drives me professionally is solving problems: diagnosing why a system isn't working, figuring out the most efficient way to configure it, and making sure the people who use it every day feel confident doing so. I'm detail-oriented, analytical, and genuinely enjoy learning new technologies — which is what's currently drawing me toward data evaluation and AI-related projects, where I can apply the same careful, structured thinking I've used throughout my career.

I'm a native Spanish speaker, currently based in United States, and available for remote work across accounting systems, ERP support, IT consulting, and AI/data-related opportunities.
