At CarMax, I’m the operational and administrative resource for a high-volume retail location, supporting 100+ employees and 16 senior and mid-level leaders. I coordinate hiring and onboarding across five departments and have managed 75+ hires with a 100% on-time-start record.
I independently refined the onboarding process, including an on-site supply inventory so same-day hires can start the next day. I also created a par-stock process with vendor lead-time tracking that eliminated routine stockouts and reduced unnecessary spending.
I founded GeekGirlAuthority and led its operations and editorial work through the company’s sale in 2025. I recruited and trained a remote team that grew to 20+ contributors, managed the budget and payments, and built systems for tracking submissions and deadlines.
At GeekGirlAuthority, I grew annual readership from 5,000 to 2 million through organic strategy, analytics review, content pivots, and social media. I also produced live storytelling events at StoryCollider and led workshops that helped professionals develop communication and presentation skills.
