I’ve spent decades programming custom databases for Mac, Windows, and Unix, with 25+ years planning, implementing, developing, and supporting FileMaker Pro databases. I build FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server solutions that work across platforms, including integration with Apple iPad and connecting outside applications through custom APIs. I’m also comfortable with network design and implementation for up to 200+ users.

Since October 2011, I’ve worked as a FileMaker Database Developer at Outside The Box Computer Solutions, Inc. I design and configure custom FileMaker Pro databases and multi-platform FileMaker Pro Server networks, handling projects from initial needs assessment through development phases, testing/troubleshooting, data import/transfer, training, and post-development support. I’ve delivered solutions such as CRM, ERP, project management, inventory control, event planning, order entry, and invoicing, and I create user manuals and technical specifications.

Before that, I worked as a Network Engineering Consultant (February 2001 – August 2011) and earlier as an IT Network Specialist (March 1989 – November 2000), focusing on assessment, design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and end-user support in Windows and Mac OS X environments. That experience strengthened my approach to documentation, network security, and dependable delivery—covering firewall/VPN technologies, LAN/WAN knowledge, backup procedures, and troubleshooting knowledgebases. I bring a practical, end-to-end mindset that helps teams get systems up, running, and supported.
