You’ll assist in designing and building scalable systems used by millions of students and companies.

You will collaborate with teams on specific components or projects, gaining hands-on experience in backend and/or frontend development.

You will bring a fresh perspective to our projects, contributing innovative ideas and solutions that enhance our development processes.

You will help troubleshoot production issues and contribute to finding long-term fixes.

You will support performance investigations and help optimize existing queries.

A solid foundation in software development and problem-solving

Command over one programming language - preferably JS/Java/Python - including basic debugging skills.

Fundamental knowledge ofdata structures and algorithms, and familiarity with databases (relational or non-relational)

Curious, proactive, and comfortable learning through hands-on work and feedback

Able to communicate clearly and collaborate in a remote, global team

Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage tasks independently

Command over one programming language - preferably JS/Java/Python - including basic debugging skills.

Experience or coursework in building web applications and familiarity with at least one framework (e.g., Express, Django).

Some knowledge of caching techniques and utilities like Memcache / Redis.

Basic understanding of the REST paradigm, service-oriented architecture, and distributed systems.

Knowledge of how the internet and networking works (i.e., DNS, HTTP, TLS, Certificates, etc.) and the tools and services that enable connectivity (e.g., browsers, CDNs, proxies).

Passionate about frontend development and web technologies

Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS, with an interest in design patterns and developer tools

Familiarity with a frontend framework (e.g. React or Angular)

Understanding of the UI workflow: Dev, Test, Build and Deployment

You have worked at a remote-first Series A or Series B product startup

You have knowledge of and experience with how systems work at scale (e.g. threads, virtualization, configuration management, load balancers, caching, CDN)
