Summary: The Technical Project Manager role at Transfr is versatile, driven, and strong collaborator with engineering and product teams. This person will play an integral role in the deliverability of our core technology platforms, tools, and services.
You’ll work closely with a collaboration-oriented engineering team and have the opportunity to contribute in meaningful ways. You’ll also partner with our dedicated VR Studios team to stand up new processes that optimize workflows between VR and platform, provide expert knowledge to increase our software’s quality, and contribute to all phases of the VR development cycle with an emphasis on engineering initiatives.
Your main KPIs are tied to tracking of projects, addressing and elevating challenges, and ultimately the on-time completion of projects. Responsibilities:

  • Managing competing priorities of assigned project(s) and/or team(s) as it relates to deliverables
  • Day-to-day process optimizations that enable the reporting of critical KPIs
  • Planning the end-to-end delivery of assigned project(s) through collaborative efforts
  • Facilitating requirements gathering and estimation process to align stakeholders on scope
  • Ensuring your project(s) assigned resources are efficiently utilized and aligns with plan and forecast
  • Proactively identify and communicate potential risks, gaps, or timeline impacts to stakeholders
  • Establishing methods to measure and monitor health, feasibility, and deliverability of assigned project(s)
  • Monitoring and raising awareness of all business commitments related to assigned project(s) or team(s)
  • Solution towards project(s) cost optimizations and reduction of cycle times whenever possible
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve dependencies across your cross-functional teams (QA, Engineering, GTM, and VR Studio)
  • Managing external vendor relationships (when applicable) to ensure timely completion of work
  • Maintaining related project source material repositories, documentation, and task databases
  • Effectively driving all necessary meetings and agile ceremonies (when applicable) to a conclusion
  • Ensuring time/capacity tracking metrics are up to date for assigned project(s) and/or assigned teams
  • Providing weekly summary to stakeholders that details progress, risk, timelines, and dependencies

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management or similar project leadership roles.
  • Advanced knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, Figma, and the G-suite.
  • At least one related project management certification (CSM, PMP, CAPM, ACP).
  • Extensive knowledge of agile, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
  • Demonstrable leadership in influencing process improvements for development teams.
  • Strong communication and mediation skills, comfortable collaborating with and facilitating both highly technical and non-technical multi-discipline teams.
  • Technical-minded with ability to comprehend work breakdowns and identify dependencies across art, engineering, and assess project scope at a high level.
  • Experience in managing VR, game, simulation and training-related projects. (Preferred but not required)
  • Experience leading engineering teams through the requirement breakdown and estimation process - including R&D projects that are nebulous in nature. (Preferred but not required)
  • Experience working with Data Scientists, Researchers, and Instructional Designers. (Preferred but not required)
  • Experience using Appscript within G-suite for automation and templates. (Preferred but not required)
  • Experience with 3rd-party integrations connecting platforms like Jira to Monday.com. (Preferred but not required)

What We Offer
The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $120,000 and $140,000, with the actual base salary amount dependent on a number of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s credentials, relevant experience, and primary job location. In addition to salary this role is eligible for additional company benefits such as stock options, 401(k), paid vacation and sick time, and medical/dental/vision insurance.
