Job Title: Business Analyst (Agile)

Location: Caribbean/Remote

Role Summary

The Agile Business Analyst will be a key partner to the internet and mobile banking teams, driving the successful delivery of agile projects that enhance digital banking experiences. This role bridges business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions are customer- centric, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. The Agile BA will champion agile practices, facilitate rapid iteration, and support continuous improvement in a dynamic financial services environment. They will develop a deep understanding of the product and provide the business context with a focus on the end-to-end process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Agile Requirements Elicitation & Analysis: Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and development teams to gather, refine, and prioritize user stories and requirements. Facilitate workshops, interviews, and agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives). Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
  • Business Process Improvement: Analyze current digital banking processes, identify pain points, and recommend enhancements leveraging agile methodologies. Support automation, digitization, and regulatory compliance in solution design. Identify potential impacts of proposed designs to any element of the end-to-end process.
  • Solution Design & Validation: Work with cross-functional teams to design and validate solutions that meet business and customer needs. Participate in solution evaluation, ensuring alignment with agile principles and maximizing value delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Develop stakeholder maps and communication plans tailored to agile project environments. Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring transparency and shared understanding.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Support the creation and execution of test plans, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and continuous feedback loops. Troubleshoot issues and facilitate rapid resolution during sprints.
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain agile documentation (user stories, process maps, release notes). Facilitate training and onboarding for new systems and processes. Identify new procedures and job aids to be developed or impacts to existing documentation.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Provide insights through data analysis to inform decision- making and measure project success.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts) and feedback

Critical Skills & Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years experience as a Business Analyst on agile projects, preferably in financial services or digital banking.
  • Proven track record supporting internet/mobile banking initiatives.

Technical Skills

  • Deep understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
  • Proficiency in agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Trello).
  • Experience with process mapping (BPMN), user story writing, and backlog management.
  • Clear understanding of technical concepts, including familiarity with APIs, mobile/web technologies, and SDLC.
  • Data analysis and visualization skills using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies (e.g., BABOK).
  • Proficiency in producing quality requirements and process deliverables (e.g., BRDs, use cases, user stories, process maps) and other related documentation.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and modeling tools (e.g., Visio) and techniques.

  • Ability to apply structured, logical, and data-driven approaches to understand complex business problems and deliver actionable insights.
  • Consistently demonstrates the ability to work autonomously, proactively seeking out information and resources to understand tasks and deliver results
  • Takes ownership of responsibilities, makes informed decisions, and manages assignments with minimal supervision or reliance on others for context or direction.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
  • Adaptability and resilience in dynamic project settings.
  • Commitment to industry best practices (IIBA BABOK, Agile Manifesto).

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Product Owner (CSPO), IIBA Agile Analysis Certification (IIBA-AAC), or equivalent.
  • Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) or PMI-PBA certification.
