About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic Account Executive (AE) to drive the adoption and growth of StreamNative’s product portfolio. We seek a proactive team player who thrives on challenges and is eager to dive in and unlock StreamNative's vast potential. Key responsibilities will encompass pipeline development, contract negotiations, and attainment of revenue and branding objectives.
What You'll be Doing
- Report to the Global Director of Sales, Digital Native
- Sell to senior technical and leadership C-Suite executives
- Develop a deep understanding of your customers, their strategies, and business goals to become a trusted advisor
- Prospect, identify, qualify, and develop sales pipeline as well as build robust sales strategies
- Align the overall StreamNative solution to the customer’s business needs, challenges, and technical requirements
- Create a healthy pipeline of revenue and new logos for your target accounts and work with average deal sizes of $50k-$250k
- Accurately forecast business on a quarterly cadence
- Work closely with the rest of the Sales and Marketing Team to build a strategy for account mapping and breaking into the market
- Occasional travel to client sites and events as needed across North America
- Help to build and document processes that can be used to help scale the future team
About You
- Experience in Open Source software + SaaS business models. Proficiency in Cloud and Infrastructure software
- Prior experience selling Kafka
- Significant sales and customer development experience in a pure acquisition/”hunter” sales role
- You have a proven track record of achieving or exceeding quota and closing a pipeline of $500k to $2m sales deals
- Experienced in navigating large organizations and ability to identify the decision-makers and the decision-making process quickly
- You are strongly self-motivated and a driven individual who is goal-oriented, methodical, and tenacious
- You are organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks that will impact your key objectives
- You are a master at nurturing relationships and creating rapport
- Expert written and verbal communication
- Prior experience in a startup technology company is desired
