Seismic is looking for Software Engineer with a focus on AI/Machine Learning to join our Engineering team! If you’re working toward a career in building products in Machine Learning and AI software development post grad, Seismic has an opportunity to introduce you to the fast paced, innovative world of Enterprise SaaS product development. We pride ourselves on our knowledge sharing focused environment and work in highly collaborative and cross-functional teams. In partnership with your mentor and team, you’ll be building solutions that will drive direct business impact and shape our long-term technical vision with a high-quality bar. We’re looking for hard-working individuals with an academic focus on Machine learning, Data Science and software engineering to join the Product Engineering team for 12 weeks this summer.
Taking pride in our knowledge sharing focused environment, we work in highly collaborative and cross-functional teams. As an intern, you’ll partner with your mentor and team to build solutions that drive direct business impact and shape our long-term technical vision (with a high-quality bar).
This is a hybrid experience with an expectation that you can commute to our San Diego office up to two days a week. Please note that if you are not based in San Diego year-round, Seismic is unable to cover housing expenses during the Summer Internship Program.
What you will be doing:
- Develop, deploy and optimizemodels to enable AI capabilities and improve user experience
- Collaborate with a team of Machine learning, software and product experts to bring your model from idea to the product through micro-service-based systems
- Work in an Enterprise SaaS platform in an Agile, cloud-based environment, and follow and ensure best engineering practices
- Utilize and be exposed toa wide range of cutting edge technologies such as:
- Front end: React, Typescripts, Graph QL, JavaScript
- Back End: C#/.NET, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, Apache Kafka
- Cloud: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, IBM
- DevOps: Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, Python
- AI/ML: LLMs (Azure, Google, etc.), Vertext AI, Azure AI, IBM watsonx, huggingface, open source models
What you bring to the team:
- Graduating from a STEM program in Machine Learning, AI, Data Science, or Computer Science in Spring 2025
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong partnership and collaboration skills, along with a desire to both learn and teach
- High energy, enthusiasm, and ambition to grow in your career
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of wide range of technologies in AI, Generative AI, data science, Computer vision, NLP, Python libraries, ML cloud services, and data tools
