A World-Changing Company
The Program
- The lawyer who can't stop thinking about how to optimize the firm's case management process.
- The nurse who has watched the same preventable mistake happen too many times.
- The mechanical or chemical engineer who understands the inefficiencies of the current system better than anyone on the floor.
- The recent grad who runs circles around their peers and has never once been handed a problem they couldn't figure out.
ATF Frontier is an eight-week, after-hours program that gives these people the tools to build real solutions using Palantir's Artificial Intelligence Platform. Fellows work toward a capstone project, earn a professional AIP certification, and learn firsthand how Palantir approaches the hardest operational problems in the world. Exceptional performers will earn the opportunity to interview for a role at Palantir or one of our partner companies.
The Role
Over eight weeks, Fellows will learn:
- How to break down complex, real-world problems and architect solutions using Palantir's AI and data analysis tools
- The fundamentals of building custom workflows and applications in Foundry and AIP
- How to communicate what you've built — and why it matters — to the people who need to use it
- How the best Forward Deployed teams at Palantir think about problems: from first diagnosis to full deployment
What We’re Looking For
- Career changers who've spent time inside an industry — healthcare, legal, finance, education, operations, engineering — watching decisions get delayed by fragmented systems, and are done waiting for someone else to fix it. Now they're ready to add a builder's toolkit to everything they already know.
- Engineers who've never written a line of software — the mechanical engineer who has spent years optimizing processes on paper and in CAD, the chemical engineer who knows every inefficiency in the plant but can't yet build the tool to fix it, the industrial engineer who has mapped and re-mapped the same broken workflow and is ready to actually automate it
- Recent graduates from any field — philosophy, economics, history, engineering, biology, you name it — who think rigorously and learn aggressively
What We Value
- A track record of solving messy, unstructured problems — whether that's restructuring a team's operations, building a tool to automate your own job, or writing the analysis that changed how your organization made decisions
- Communication that makes hard things simple: you've had to explain complex ideas to skeptical audiences and you know how to bring people along
- Evidence that you learn fast: a new language, a domain pivot, a project where you had to figure it out as you went
- Intellectual range — you've thought seriously about problems in more than one field, and it shows
- The ability to sit with ambiguity and move anyway
What We Require
- 2+ years of work or educational experience
- Genuine curiosity and a bias toward action
- Ability to commit to the full eight-week program: two weeknights per week, plus independent project work (10–15 hours/week total)
- Authorized to work in the United States of America
Program Details
- Duration: May 26th through July 23rd
- Format: Live virtual sessions, two weeknights per week; optional sessions and office hours throughout
- Time commitment: 10–15 hours per week
- Compensation: This program is unpaid and provides professional training and certification
- Outcomes: Exceptional performers will be considered for full-time roles at Palantir, which may require a relocation to Palantir office hub, and partner companies.
