The annual base salary for this position ranges from $199,200.00 in our lowest geographic market to $471,100.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a highly accomplished Distinguished Engineer to lead and inspire our engineering& architectureteams responsible for developing and maintaining our foundationalprivacy, governance &data platformsand delivering great integratedsolutionsfor our users. As a key member of our technology leadership team, you will oversee the design, architecture, and implementation of criticalData & Ai Governancecapabilities&platforms, including relational and non-relational databases, streaming platforms, analytical datalakehouse, business intelligence tools,AI/MLand GenAIplatforms. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving innovation and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of our data ecosystem.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Technical Leadership: Provide strategic direction and technical guidance to engineering teamsData & Ai GovernanceAndEnablement teams.
  • Architecture: Design and evolve the overall architecture of our foundational data& governancesolutions, ensuring they align with business objectives and meet the evolving needs of our organization.
  • Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation, driving the adoption of emerging technologies and best practices in data& governanceengineering.
  • Team Development: Mentor engineering talent, building high-performing teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Collaboration: Partner with product management,data science, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve complex technical challenges related to datasecurity, governance,performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Industry Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in thetransactional and analyticaldata engineering space.
  • Hands-on coding: Actively participating indesign,developmentand debuggingactivities, demonstrating deep understanding of data engineering principles and practices.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role reports to theHead of Data & Ai Governance and Enablementand willwork closely withEnterpriseD&Ai,Enterprise Architecture& Platforms, the Distinguished Engineering Community, and key partners acrossDomain engineering, Security, Ops and Geos.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Degreein Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field plus 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education, experience or training.
  • Proven track record as a Distinguished Engineer or equivalent role in a technology-driven organization.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence, mentorand inspire teams.
  • Strong ability to navigate a complex technology landscape objectively and diplomatically.
  • Deep expertise in foundational datagoveranancesoftware solutions,datataplatforms, including relational and non-relational databases, streaming platforms, datalakehouses,AIML/GenAIplatformsand business intelligence tools.
  • Deep understanding ofprivacy anddata architecturefor transactional and analytical solutions.
  • Understanding of AI/ML technologies and their application to data-driven solutions.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation and solve complex technical challenges.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience with data engineering tools and technologies.
  • Activeinvolvement in theopen-sourcecommunity and a history of contributing to relevant projects and/or experience in publishing technical articles.
