As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), Platform Engineering, you will play a crucial role in developing our platform systems, collaborating with a dynamic team that leverages technologies like ArgoCD and Rollouts to enhance the developer experience and streamline code deployment. Your focus will extend to crafting robust features that facilitate the delivery of billions personalized messages globally each year. Your close collaboration with the development teams will involve not only enhancing existing tools but also participating in architecting new ways to empower developers through building intuitive interfaces for crafting and deploying services on our platform.

The Ideal Candidate Will Be/Have:

• Have 2+ years of previous software or infrastructure engineering work experience
• A willingness to participate in an oncall rotation.
• Have a desire to be a part of developing highly valued platform features, focusing on operational excellence, and be willing to learn new technologies
• Demonstrated proficiency with public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Practical experience working with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Production experience with Terraform
• Experience in automation using languages such as Python, Go, or similar are a key requirement
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD tools.
• Bachelor’s in computer science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Passion for learning and always improving yourself and the team around you

You might work with:

• Work across our tech stack of AWS services, Kubernetes, Salt, Nginx
• Containerizing various services for deployment and packaging
• Improving our continuous integration and monitoring systems at scale
• Evaluating new solutions to simplify and modernize our stack

Bonus Points

• Operational knowledge of Argo, GitOps, Helm charts, or similar deployment orchestration tool
• Experience with platform engineering technologies like Crossplane or Backstage
• Interest in Service Mesh and/or Kube-native Ingress solutions
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Loki, Datadog, ELK

The US base salary range for this position at the start of employment is $113,000 - $175-000. Within this range, individual pay is determined by specific US work location, as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and internal equity considerations.

Please note that the range listed above reflects only base salary. The total compensation package includes variable pay (where applicable), equity, plus a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and financial. In addition we offer perks such as generous stipends for health & fitness and learning & development, among others.
