Position Overview:
The Vice President of Security is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization's comprehensive security strategy, which includes cybersecurity, data protection, and crisis management. The VP of Security will develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of the company's employees, assets, and information. This role demands a strategic thinker with extensive experience in security management and client communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive security strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Meet with clients to understand their security needs and ensure those needs align with Invisible offerings.
Cybersecurity:
- Oversee existing cybersecurity policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Ensure the organization’s information systems are secure from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends, and proactively implement measures to mitigate risks.
Risk Management:
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
- Develop and implement crisis management plans, including disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security and data protection.
- Prepare and present security reports to the executive team and board of directors.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate security practices across the organization.
- Work closely with the IT department to enforce security practices and ensure alignment on cybersecurity initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in security management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity, physical security, and risk management.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to security and data protection.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful security strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make critical decisions.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CPP.
Compensation & Benefits
- Working Times: US (EST or PST) Hours
- Compensation Breakdown
- Base: $170,000
- Base + Bonus Target: $250,000
- Eligible to receive company equity grant
