Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Sales Development Representative (SDR) with experience in sustainable engineering, renewable energy, ESG, environmental consulting, clean technology, or related industries.

This role will focus on outbound lead generation, prospect engagement, and pipeline development within sustainability-focused markets. The ideal candidate understands the language of sustainability, energy transition, environmental solutions, and ESG initiatives, and can confidently engage with business decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and follow-ups.
  • Identify and engage potential clients interested in sustainability, engineering, ESG, or clean energy solutions.
  • Generate qualified meetings and opportunities for the sales team.
  • Research target companies, sustainability initiatives, and industry trends to personalise outreach.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline activity.
  • Collaborate with internal sales and marketing teams to improve outreach strategies and messaging.
  • Consistently meet or exceed activity and meeting-booked KPIs.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective clients across sustainability-driven industries.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, or outbound B2B sales.
  • Must have previous experience within sustainable engineering, renewable energy, ESG, environmental consulting, sustainability, clean tech, utilities, or adjacent industries.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability-related business challenges and ESG initiatives.
  • Proven outbound prospecting and cold outreach experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar.
  • Strong research, organisation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Reliable internet connection and professional remote setup.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience targeting enterprise or commercial clients.
  • Familiarity with carbon reduction strategies, energy efficiency, sustainability reporting, or ESG frameworks.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Outreach, or similar prospecting tools.
  • Exposure to UK, EU, US, or international sustainability markets.
