Stay safe on Himalayas

Never send money to companies. Jobs on Himalayas will never require payment from applicants.

At GoodHabitz, we believe learning should be part of everyday work and not something extra. Our mission is to make learning a habit for everyone by helping organizations build cultures of continuous growth. As a B2B EdTech company, we create engaging, accessible, and impactful learning experiences used by teams across the globe.

Our platform is evolving into a mobile first, AI powered learning experience, and this transformation needs strong engineering leadership. That is where you come in.

As an Engineering Manager at GoodHabitz, you do not just lead a team. You help shape how people learn at work. You combine technical craftsmanship, people leadership, and product thinking to empower engineers to solve meaningful problems that have a real impact on our users.

This role is about creating the conditions for engineers to do their best work. You foster ownership, curiosity, and collaboration, helping your team deeply understand customer needs and business context, and translating those insights into elegant, scalable solutions.

You will work closely with Product and Design, align technical decisions with our product strategy, and guide your team through thoughtful trade offs that balance quality, speed, and long term value.

Your Impact

  • Lead and grow a team of 6 to 7 engineers, supporting their development, wellbeing, and sense of ownership.
  • Shape technical direction and architecture, ensuring high standards through automated testing, code reviews, static analysis, and AI assisted development practices.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to deliver learning experiences that truly make a difference for our customers.
  • Continuously improve how we work, refining our Agile practices and evolving our use of tools like AI, Jira, Confluence, and GitLab CI/CD.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience leading an engineering team, with a strong focus on coaching, feedback, and team development.
  • 5 to 7 or more years of professional software engineering experience, including time spent as a Senior Engineer, Tech Lead, or Architect.
  • Solid experience designing, building, and operating software across both frontend and backend systems.
  • The ability to make thoughtful technical trade offs that balance product goals, scalability, and long term maintainability.
  • Experience working closely with Product and Design partners in a cross functional environment.
  • Familiarity with modern development practices such as automated testing, CI and CD, code reviews, and architectural design.
  • Comfort working with cloud based systems and modern tooling. Experience with .NET and C#, Vue.js, TypeScript, Docker, and AWS is a plus, but not required.
  • A growth mindset, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in building technology that helps people learn and grow.
