Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Developer with expertise in AWS and Genesys Cloud to join our product team. As a core contributor, you'll lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and upkeep of Genesys Innovation Applications hosted on AWS. Your expertise will be pivotal in addressing and resolving software challenges specific to these applications. Moreover, you'll play a key role in architecting and crafting innovative applications, while also proposing enhancements to ensure they adhere to the highest standards of excellence and innovation.

GENESYS Innovations builds solutions that enable our customers to get more value out of their Genesys platforms. The Innovations team’s primary job is to build new, innovative applications using AI and analytics, with the goal of helping our customers effectively and efficiently deliver experience as a service (XaaS).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage engineering teams: Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of software projects to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions. Provide leadership in technical strategy and innovation to maintain competitive edge.
  • Architect, develop, test, and implement AWS applications: Ensure they are robust, scalable, and efficient, aligning with business goals and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Design and develop solutions that meet business requirements and exceed customer expectations.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers: Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering skill development and career growth among junior team members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues: Use your expertise in Genesys Cloud to address challenges related to Genesys Cloud Expert Apps.
  • Stay up to date with latest technologies: Continuously update and refine your knowledge of the newest technologies and best practices in cloud/web application development and Genesys Cloud to enhance our products and processes consistently.
  • Optimize database administration and performance: Enhance efficiency and scalability to support growing business needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Promote and implement innovative processes and methodologies to improve team performance and product quality.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years of experience in AWS full-stack development.
  • Extensive experience with Genesys Cloud, including contact center technologies such as Genesys, Cisco, Avaya, etc.
  • Strong understanding of AI frameworks, libraries, and tools, with at least 5 years of experience in AI development and machine learning.
  • Proficiency in React and Node.js, with at least 5 years of experience in real-time application development.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and developing applications using these technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams, demonstrating successful project deliveries and significant team growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers, enhancing their skills and integrating them into larger project teams effectively.
  • Proven track record of actively contributing to large consulting projects and delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to find innovative solutions to technical challenges.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS/BA or equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 10+ years of commercial software development experience, with proficiency in node.js, JavaScript, C#, Java, and at least one additional language such as Python, PHP, or C++.
  • Knowledge of deep learning architectures and techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and services for AI model deployment.
  • Experience deploying software and configuring Windows and Linux operating environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in other major European languages is a plus.
  • Strong analytical programming and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to present examples of written technical documentation, such as technical design specifications, user guides, or deployment manuals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment with flexible schedules.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Leadership in the development of innovative software solutions, particularly focusing on data streaming applications and real-time agent (RTA)-based UI applications.
  • Previous experience working with Genesys technologies, including integrating them with various customer environments and backend systems using Genesys SDKs such as PSDK, WFM API, IceLib, ICWS, and GWS.
