Role Overview:
We’re seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Accounting Manager who is comfortable with both tactical and strategic responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys handling the day-to-day accounting tasks but also has the experience and potential to grow into a leadership position as we expand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Manage the month-end close process
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Support budgeting and forecasting
- Maintain accurate and timely general ledger entries
- Collaborate directly with the co-founders on evolving financial processes
- Provide a second set of eyes on accounting tasks and potentially help manage future team members
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting roles (preferably 5+ years)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and monthly close procedures
- Hands-on experience with core accounting functions (AP/AR, reconciliations, journal entries)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable with remote work tools and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Bill.com,etc.)
- Willingness to do both the "in-the-weeds" work and contribute to higher-level financial strategy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or equivalent designation (preferred but not required)
- Prior experience in outsourced accounting firms or startups
- Experience managing or mentoring junior accounting staff

- Client Relationship : You will be directly working with the client. This means that you will communicate with the client, provide services, and address any client-related matters independently.
- Payments : All payments for your services will be handled by the client. Elevate and Delegate is not involved in processing your payroll. Your salary will directly go to you.
- Vacation Leaves and Holidays : While we may have recommendations or guidelines regarding vacation leaves and holidays, the decision is entirely at the discretion of the client. You are expected to align your schedule with the client’s business needs and any specific policies or preferences they may have in this regard.
