The Opportunity:

The Sales Intern will work closely with the sales team to generate sales leads by cold-calling current/prospective customers and educating them about the ECI product lines and services that we offer. In addition, they will become familiar with the Salesforce.com database to track all leads and run reports.

What you will do:

  • Effectively convey company’s products and services to prospects via cold calling.
  • Conduct research on leads/target accounts for sales teams.
  • Enter sales leads into Salesforce.com.
  • Generate reports from Salesforce.com.
  • Provide regular updates on lead activity to Managing Director
  • Assist with additional projects as needed.

Who you are:

  • Must be enrolled in a BA/BS program majoring in business or related field.
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • 0-2 years of cold calling experience in business-to-business lead generation, inside sales or business development
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Must be confident, organized, and enthusiastic about our company and products.
  • Must have the ability to establish rapport with a wide variety of people.
  • Results-oriented individual with a sense of urgency, dynamic personality and the ability to persevere.
  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM tool (is this a requirement or a preference?)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Capable of multitasking in a high pace environment, effectively and efficiently
  • Client Service focused.
  • Must be a strong closer.
