About the Role:

We’re looking for a senior engineering leader to serve as the Director of Engineering and Poland Site Lead, with a dual mandate: to build and scale our engineering presence in Poland and to own critical product and technical initiatives across our products and platforms. In this role, you’ll be responsible for growing a high-performing local team, shaping the site’s identity and culture, and ensuring strong alignment with our broader engineering organization. You’ll also play a key role in driving product execution and technical excellence on some of our most important initiatives. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at the intersection of local leadership and global engineering strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and scale high-performing engineering teams working on complex, business-critical systems.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and other partners to define and deliver on our technical roadmap.
  • Drive engineering excellence through strong technical standards, scalable architecture, and delivery velocity.
  • Serve as the Poland Site Lead—responsible for hiring, team culture, local operations, and leadership development.
  • Grow and mentor a talented team of engineers and managers, fostering long-term growth and retention.
  • Champion a strong engineering culture rooted in ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Help shape and execute our AI strategy—partnering with product and research teams to integrate AI into core systems and workflows.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in high-growth, product-led tech companies, and at least 5 years in engineering leadership roles
  • Proven success in managing and scaling high-performing engineering teams, with oversight of 20+ engineers and managers
  • Deep technical background in distributed systems or enterprise SaaS platforms
  • A hands-on, “do-what-it-takes” attitude with strong ownership and bias for action
  • Strong business acumen and a data-driven approach to improving engineering operations, team performance, and delivery
  • Experience building and leading global or remote teams—prior responsibility for launching or growing international offices
  • Excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset and ability to work across time zones and cultures
  • Fluency in English and Polish, both written and verbal

Calculating commissions is mission-critical. And it’s really, really hard. Each company has a unique commission structure that involves far more calculations and data than a typical salary payroll — and for many, commission is one of the largest expenses on the P&L statement.‍

When CaptivateIQ was founded in 2017, compensation leaders were tracking and managing sales data using costly legacy software or, in the worst cases, a single spreadsheet. There were no other options but to use opaque, error-prone processes to manage commissions. Our founders knew this could be better.

So they created the solution that they’d want to use: CaptivateIQ.

Our hope is to empower everyone involved in the commission process. Our goal is to have all commissions live in CaptivateIQ — thereby providing revenue-focused teams with the data and insights they need to make informed decisions and develop winning strategies.
