Job Description
As a Bookkeeper for this dynamic construction technology firm, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy across multiple international entities. You’ll be at the forefront of managing state-of-the-art accounting systems, handling diverse financial tasks from invoicing cutting-edge hardware to reconciling transactions across borders. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using Xero for multiple entities across the US, UK, and Europe (but main preference is US).
- Process invoices for innovative hardware sales and ongoing project services, ensuring timely and accurate billing
- Handle complex quarterly billing cycles, including reconciliations and reporting
- Handle highly sensitive data and log ins.
- Prepare and submit US state activity statements and lodgments, ensuring compliance with various state regulations
- Assist with payroll-related tasks, working with ADP to ensure smooth processing for the growing team
- Reconcile transactions across international entities, maintaining a clear financial picture of the global operation
- Generate financial reports to support strategic decision-making and business growth
- Perform general administrative duties to support the finance function and maximize efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience in US bookkeeping, with a strong preference for technology or construction sector background
- Expert-level proficiency in Xero accounting software
- Experience in handling highly sensitive data is a must.
- Strong knowledge of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and other relevant data privacy laws.
- Familiarity with common cybersecurity attacks and best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of US state tax requirements and lodgement processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Flexibility to align with Australian business hours (early morning Philippines time)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Familiarity with international accounting practices and multi-currency transactions is a plus
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and accounting systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to financial management
