Snowflake is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to spearhead the incubation and
socialization of a customer transformation framework tailored for US Majors
Acquisition. This role drives data-driven outcomes by crafting long-term roadmaps that transition these accounts from legacy data silos to a fully integrated, quantitative state. With over 10 years of technology leadership and a deep infrastructure background, the successful candidate will bridge internal strategy and external execution, ensuring consistent diagnosis, sales alignment, and measurable business value. This scalable focuses on framework development and customer-facing solution architecture in Year 1, with plans to scale impact and engage GSIs in Year 2, leveraging remote coordination and strategic forums (e.g. Snowflake CEC, Summit, DCWT, and customer onsite briefings).
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:
Develop a repeatable Framework:
Design and incubate a customer transformation framework that accelerates US Majors Acquisition accounts into data-driven enterprises, leveraging Snowflake’s cloud data platform to address evolving infrastructure and business needs.
Define clear stages with actionable KPIs, capabilities, and outcomes (e.g., cost predictability, operational efficiency), tailored to the unique challenges of large enterprises.
Collaborate remotely with product and engineering teams to align framework milestones with Snowflake’s technical roadmap, ensuring scalability and relevance for US Majors Acquisition.
Increase Customer Engagement:
Lead strategic engagements with US Majors Acquisition to diagnose current-state infrastructure challenges (e.g., legacy data warehouses, high CAPEX cycles), co-develop tailored roadmaps, and deliver high-impact proposals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level IT executives (CIO, CTO, CDO, Chief Architect) of top prospects.
Showcase Snowflake’s value (e.g., predictable OPEX, scalable compute).
Architect solutions addressing pain points like siloed data, hardware refresh costs, and limited analytics, driving adoption and results such as reduced TCO and enhanced decision-making.
Use EBCs or virtual platforms to evangelize the framework to C-level executives at US Majors Acquisition, laying the groundwork for future partner ecosystem expansion.
Socialize the Framework Internally:
Socialize a new enterprise transformation framework across US Majors Acquisition sales, piloting its application and securing early buy-in through playbooks and targeted discussions.
Provide lightweight mentoring via scalable channels to align teams on diagnosing infrastructure challenges and positioning Snowflake’s advantages, refining the framework based on initial feedback.
Collaborate with marketing to develop collateral that differentiates Snowflake’s approach for US Majors Acquisition, leveraging digital channels to accelerate momentum.
ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:
10+ years in technology leadership, with a proven track record of developing and executing IT roadmaps that deliver measurable outcomes for large enterprises.
Extensive experience with the pre-sales motion with fortune 500 organizations, navigating complex sales cycles and stakeholder ecosystems.
Expertise in assessing and modernizing enterprise data architectures (e.g., legacy warehouses, on-premises hardware) and articulating Snowflake’s value.
Proficiency in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle Cloud), data platforms, and multi-cloud strategies; familiarity with Snowflake capabilities.
Ability to translate strategic business needs into technical solutions with tangible business outcomes
The ability to travel to customer sites, industry events and other related events as required
Cloud certifications are a plus

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:
This role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's commission plan and, additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s equity plan.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
