About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Bookkeeper to manage financial operations for a U.S.-based service business. The ideal candidate is proactive, accurate, and able to work independently while maintaining clear and timely communication with the client.
Key Responsibilities
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts weekly
Process and match customer payments, deposits, and progress billings
Record and categorize expenses and bills accurately
Prepare monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Job Profitability reports
Manage job costing and ensure accurate allocation of project expenses
Communicate regularly regarding unclassified transactions or outstanding items
Maintain records in QuickBooks Online and field management software (e.g., SingleOps)
Requirements
2-3 years of bookkeeping experience in a service-based or construction-related business
Advanced QuickBooks Online (QBO) proficiency
Strong understanding of job costing, progress billing, and reconciliations
Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with U.S. GAAP standards
