Essential Job Duties

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) for the APAC region here at BambooHR, you’ll play a key role in setting our future clients free to do amazing work. You’ll be the expert who helps turn marketing leads into sales opportunities, connecting with HR professionals, department leaders, and even executives across the Asia-Pacific region to help them discover how BambooHR can transform their people operations.

Because you've only got a short window to connect with these folks, this role is all about bringing the energy, showing curiosity about cultural and business nuances across APAC, and connecting with potential clients to understand their unique needs. If you’ve got the gift of gab, love engaging with people from diverse backgrounds, and thrive on creating meaningful connections, we want to hear from you!

You’ll do this by building relationships, creating interest through discovery, and setting up meetings for our Account Executives to showcase BambooHR’s award-winning platform — all while helping organizations realize the potential ROI BambooHR can bring to their teams.

You will:

  • Leverage cultural insights and local market knowledge to tailor outreach strategies for the APAC region.
  • Be the go-to guru for our leads — sparking interest through engaging conversations and understanding their HR challenges.
  • Reach out and qualify potential clients to set up meetings for our Account Executives to seal the deal.
  • Work a large volume of inbound marketing leads daily
  • Conduct all outreach via web conference, phone, and email — no travel necessary.
  • Work a 4/10 shift schedule with hours from 12 PM–11 PM MST to align with APAC time zones.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

  • 1–2 years of related sales, marketing, or customer-facing experience (SaaS experience preferred).
  • International or APAC sales experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to articulate value propositions via phone, web, and email.
  • Strong collaboration, curiosity, and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A great attitude, self-motivation, and a passion for growth.
  • Must be willing to work the 4/10 APAC shift schedule listed above.
