Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Developer with deep expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, data migration, and BI development.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing scalable databases, building complex stored procedures, optimizing data pipelines, and creating insightful dashboards in Power BI.

The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Azure AI) to streamline query development, improve efficiency, and support faster delivery cycles.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize relational database architectures to support enterprise applications.

  • Write, review, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, views, triggers, and stored procedures.

  • Perform data migration, transformation, and cleansing across multiple environments.

  • Develop, schedule, and maintain SSIS packages for ETL processes.

  • Design and implement data models for reporting and analytics.

  • Build and publish Power BI dashboards and reports, integrating data from multiple sources.

  • Monitor and improve database performance, scalability, and security.

  • Collaborate closely with application developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data integrity and performance.

  • Use AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity, accelerate coding tasks, and automate repetitive database operations.

  • Support data-driven decision-making through BI and analytics solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or later).

  • Strong experience in database design, normalization, and optimization.

  • Expert-level proficiency in T-SQL, including advanced query tuning and indexing.

  • Proven experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for ETL processes.

  • Experience in data migration between heterogeneous systems.

  • Proficiency in Power BI report creation and data modeling.

  • Familiarity with database security, roles, and permissions.

  • Ability to use AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Azure OpenAI, etc.) for query optimization, data analysis, and documentation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

  • Experience with Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, or Databricks.

  • Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modeling.

  • Exposure to Python or R for data analytics.

  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
