I’m a dedicated HR professional with years of outstanding support in the HR field, grounded in an uncompromising work ethic. I thrive in change and bring a collaborative, caring, and compassionate approach to every onboarding and HR process.
For 2011–2024 at The University of the West Indies (St. Augustine), I led onboarding experiences that ensured seamless integration for new staff. I developed and maintained relationships with appointees and external agencies, scheduled orientation sessions, monitored onboarding progress, and continuously improved onboarding materials to strengthen the new hire experience.
From 2018–2021, I served as a Human Resource Officer supporting Recruitment, Performance Management, and Training & Development. I managed end-to-end recruitment for administrative, technical, support, estate, and daily-rated staff, supervised HR and clerical assistants, ensured policy and Collective Agreement alignment, and improved HRIS use (PeopleSoft 9.0) to strengthen contracting outcomes.
I also contributed to HR strategy and governance through projects such as HR servicedesk implementation, UWI Data Protection Policy development, PeopleSoft ERecruit rollout, and succession planning initiatives. I’m driven to improve HR operations, build capability through training programmes, and deliver measurable results for both staff and the wider campus community.
