Built and managed a compliance and training function for the transport fleet, conducting structured driver risk assessments and tracking training and certification renewals. Supported operational safety and efficiency through compliance monitoring, manual handling training and assessor work, Lean process improvement, and audit-ready documentation.

Selected for the trust’s specialist crisis response unit and served as the on-site adviser for serious incidents, including weapon-involved situations. Led rapid triage, secured executive authorisation, coordinated team mobilisation, and produced governance-reviewed post-incident documentation with deployments resolved without serious injuries to staff.

Delivered mandatory and specialist PMVA training, including multiple course types (e.g., Breakaway, Teamwork, restraint for older people services, and handcuff application). Trained approximately 3,000 staff across half-day and full-day programmes, progressed to independently delivering full courses, and maintained training compliance and records across the trust.

Provided direct patient care in medium and medium-enhanced secure forensic mental health units, supporting observations, personal care, activity support, and therapeutic engagement. Conducted continuous risk assessments, responded to live incidents (including weapon-involved situations) in line with NHS use-of-force protocols, and maintained GDPR-compliant, governance-aligned documentation.
