What I'm looking for

I seek a role that fosters gender equality and allows for impactful advocacy and program development.

I am a results-driven development professional with over 10 years of comprehensive experience in gender-responsive programming, social protection, and gender-based violence prevention. My expertise lies in strategy development and implementation of projects that promote gender diversity and social inclusion. I am passionate about dismantling systemic barriers and fostering equitable participation of women and men with disabilities in all aspects of development.

Throughout my career, I have held various roles, including Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Specialist at USAID HERO, where I provided strategic technical guidance on GESI integration and developed safeguarding policies. My work has led to the establishment of gender-sensitive social protection policies and innovative programs aimed at empowering survivors of gender-based violence. I am adept at stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and capacity building, ensuring that gender considerations are integrated into all levels of project implementation.

As a volunteer board member at Women Concerns Center, I have successfully initiated programs that support the safety and empowerment of women and girls in Kisumu County. I have also led in fund raising through proposal writing for the organization. My commitment to gender equality is reflected in my ability to mobilize resources and engage with community stakeholders to promote gender mainstreaming in local programs.
