Trevor Nyatsanza

I am a dedicated Case Management, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Child Protection and Legal Specialist with extensive experience leading teams and managing large-scale programs. I have successfully supervised multi-disciplinary teams and directly or indirectly supported services for tens of thousands of vulnerable children and caregivers.

At FACT Zimbabwe I led a team of GBV and Child Protection officers, managed a US$500,000 annual program budget, and strengthened multi-sectoral coordination, contributing to improved justice outcomes and national GBV strategy development. I provided legal and psychosocial support, managed hotlines, and supported GBV One Stop Centres to deliver post-violence care.

Previously as a Provincial Magistrate I case-managed civil and criminal matters with a 100% case resolution record, mediated over 1,000 disputes, reduced backlog, and produced thousands of legal opinions. I also served as a Legal and Human Rights Officer investigating maladministration and advocating for law reform and human rights protections.

I combine program leadership, legal expertise, advocacy, and technical capacity building to drive safeguarding, prevention and response initiatives. I seek roles where I can scale evidence-based protection programs, mentor teams, and influence policy to improve outcomes for children, adolescents and survivors.
