Tatenda L Muzamhindo
@tatendalmuzamhindo
Protection and social development specialist delivering protection-centred programs for vulnerable people.
What I'm looking for
I’m a protection and social development professional with over 10 years of progressive experience managing and coordinating protection-centred programmes for vulnerable populations in humanitarian and development settings. I lead general protection, case management, protection monitoring, emergency response, and social assistance work while aligning delivery with international protection principles.
In my most recent role, I provided technical leadership and district-level operational oversight to ensure protection mainstreaming and compliance with national frameworks and humanitarian standards. I managed case management services and emergency response activities, coordinated government, partner, and community stakeholders, and strengthened community-based protection mechanisms through monitoring visits, support plans, and disability mainstreaming.
I focus on actionable data and accountability: I led protection monitoring and needs assessments (including biannual vulnerability assessments), generated evidence for targeting and advocacy, and registered and processed more than 5,000 households annually for social assistance. I also supported large-scale emergency responses (including food assistance to 20,000 households during drought emergencies), supervised and monitored PVOs and children’s/older persons/disability institutions for compliance, and produced high-quality narrative and statistical reporting to drive better decisions. Earlier, as an M&E intern, I built monitoring and evaluation frameworks, maintained beneficiary databases, and helped translate findings into programme improvements.
