With over a decade of experience in software engineering, Steven Zhang is a versatile technical leader specializing in both backend and frontend development. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Salesforce, Steven has significantly contributed to transforming healthcare technology through the development of the Salesforce Health Cloud, where he has led projects focused on building efficient data systems for real-time clinical data sharing. His expertise spans the implementation of HL7/FHIR data pipelines, development of scalable alert systems using Golang, and the design of interactive care dashboards with React.

Before joining Salesforce, Steven honed his skills at Twilio, where he was instrumental in architecting and developing real-time video systems that have served thousands of enterprise users. His innovative approach to improving infrastructure performance and user experience in video communications has resulted in measurable increases in stream quality and session recovery rates.
