Payments Product Owner job opportunity

At HSBC, I own scoping, prioritisation and the backlog lifecycle for Ellipse, a digital transformation across payments, liquidity and AML platforms. I translate regulatory and financial-crime requirements into specifications, process flows and user stories, and use SQL to validate data and investigate anomalies.

At HSBC Software Development Centre, I supported delivery of SASEFM, HSBC’s Group Transaction Fraud Detection platform for real-time and batch scoring of outward SWIFT and local payments across MENA. I also developed predictive models in Python for fraud detection and AML use cases, working with data engineering on scoring, validation and retraining automation.

Earlier, I worked across payment and financial-crime programmes, including ISO 20022 migrations, ACH and RTGS capabilities, and FINTRAC Large Cash Transaction Reporting. I’ve also led development of an MT-to-MX payment message converter and delivered tools for generating API specifications and turning technical diagrams into multilingual summaries and voiceovers.
