I’m a Payroll Specialist who adds measurable value through exceptional verbal and written communication, strong organization and prioritization, and a detail-oriented mindset. I’m self-motivated, passionate about helping people in person and by phone, and I bring Intermediate-Advanced Portuguese to support broader communication needs.
Since 2017, I’ve owned payroll support and operations, including running reports, resolving and recording terminations, and auditing NE/Exempt leave of absence and return-to-work activity. I manage employee payment-related updates such as adding/canceling cell phones, auto allowance, benefit entries, and correcting direct deposits/total pay card issues. I’ve also audited and corrected minimum wage/salary updates and contributed to allocations while executing and leading large projects across high-volume environments, including experience with over 20,000 employees.
I started as a Payroll Help Desk Specialist (temporary), where I ensured employee claims about payroll checks and W-2s were resolved or escalated appropriately. I answered questions via calls and email, called customers with claim results, documented every claim, and generated reports to highlight common issues using Oracle and internal systems. I also create walkthroughs using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to better train employees and improve consistency.
Earlier roles strengthened my foundation in accounts and HR-adjacent operations and customer support. As a Business Payroll Assistant, I handled A/R activities, posted daily deposits remotely and credit card payments, supported A/P invoice workflows in Peachtree, and assisted with payroll/Human Resources by collecting timesheets and preparing weekly payroll data.
