Ryan Jochims
@ryanjochims
Technology professional blending IT support expertise with engineering leadership to improve reliability, performance, and system operations.
What I'm looking for
I’m a technology professional focused on measurable reliability and performance. As a Desktop Support Technician, I provide hardware and software assistance that minimizes downtime and keeps customer satisfaction high, resolving 2,500+ help desk tickets through phone, email, or in person.
I also bring engineering and program leadership to complex technical work. I oversee development of a scientific micro satellite (CubeSAT) to study particle effects on GNSS signals, and I improved a balloon flight control system for higher reliability in experiment deployment and tracking.
Beyond IT support, I direct research operations with real outcomes—growing a program from ~25 students to 54, leading development of 9 experiments, and building strategic alliances with universities and world experts. I’ve supported deployments across VLF/ELF receiver work, served as a principal investigator for optical detection of gravity waves, and led hardware assembly/testing for NASA-sponsored balloon payload stacks.
