Regina Caldanaro
@reginacaldanaro
I build scalable, accessible documentation systems for complex health and enterprise software.
What I'm looking for
At Altera Digital Health, I served as the sole technical writer for dbMotion, supporting 21 releases and maintaining 833 versioned documents across nine active releases. I designed information architecture and authored FHIR API, implementation, and events documentation for a healthcare API platform.
I modernized two acquired healthcare products by converting 136 documents from Word to DITA and migrating 4,791 topics into an enterprise CCMS. I also rationalized a 75-document library into 58 documents, including a unified Clinical Viewer guide that reduced duplication and improved reuse, searchability, and maintainability.
Previously at IBM, I led content strategy, information architecture, terminology, usability, and accessibility initiatives for complex storage software and hardware. I improved accessibility compliance for storage and server products from 71% to 90% and partnered with product management and engineering to design and test interfaces.
I enjoy making difficult content clear, scalable, and genuinely useful. I build structured authoring, terminology, governance, and AI-assisted workflows; mentor writers; and work closely with engineering, product, support, legal, and marketing teams to get complex work to the finish line.
