I’m looking to continue leading complex disability/specialty claims with a customer-first mindset—investigating thoroughly, preventing fraud, ensuring compliance, and mentoring claim professionals to deliver operational excellence.

I’m a Senior Insurance Claims & Benefits Professional with 25+ years of experience in insurance, financial services, and customer operations, including 13 years specializing in disability claims. I’m recognized for leading fraud detection initiatives, mentoring and developing claim professionals, and making complex claim determinations while balancing empathy, compliance, and business objectives.

As a Claim Specialist III at TruStage (2013 to 2026), I investigated and adjudicated complex disability and specialty insurance claims while maintaining superior quality, productivity, and customer service standards. I led Claims Department Special Investigations Unit (SIU) referrals, preventing hundreds of thousands of dollars in fraudulent claim payments, and I served as the first point of escalation for complex customer situations before management involvement. I also performed quality assurance reviews to ensure technical accuracy and policy compliance, and I mentored and trained newly hired Claim Specialists.
