Michael Bergmann
@michaelbergmann
Asset Protection & operations leader; drive safety, training, and community impact.
What I'm looking for
I’m a results-driven leader with experience managing both union and non-union professionals. I direct overall operations across investigations, support, community service, training, and administrative services, and I’m known for being extremely competent in day-to-day responsibility.
In my current role as a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic Supervisor, I oversee preventive maintenance on tools and equipment used in overhaul and repair work. I also manage the education and training needs of cemetery employees, lead team building, and support human resource needs—while maintaining facilities and irrigation across an 1100-acre operation with 200+ heavy construction machines and vehicles. I create training content using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to keep teams aligned and productive.
Previously, I’ve led Asset Protection/Safety & Security work, conducting internal investigations relating to employee integrity, harassment, and workplace violence, and managing the company’s largest team of in-store Asset Protection Associates. I plan, develop, and direct programs to reduce financial loss from theft and fraud, run safety programs, and handle audits, surveillance, shrinkage investigations, and physical security operations. I also serve in roles tied to physical security, including CCTV and related low-voltage/security responsibilities.
My service background strengthens my operational mindset. I’ve worked as a Safety Officer/Range Safety Officer, served as a Reserve Police Officer, and volunteered as a Fire Fighter while maintaining Advanced EMT credentials—so I bring a strong safety-first approach to training, compliance, and risk reduction. I’m motivated to mentor teams, improve operational effectiveness, and support community impact through disciplined leadership.
