Mbali Keteyi

I’m a Software Engineer specializing in production-grade AI/ML systems, backend platforms, and TypeScript/Node.js full stack work. Since graduating from the ALX Software Engineering Programme in 2024, I’ve independently built and deployed four platforms with full CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes deployment, automated testing, and documentation.

My AI focus is LLM and agentic systems—ReAct loops, tool-calling, hybrid RAG pipelines, streaming responses, and three-tier memory—integrating Anthropic Claude API and OpenAI API. I also ship practical ML pipelines with model serving and explainability using SHAP and MLflow. For NLP and retrieval, I work with spaCy, Sentence Transformers, and ChromaDB alongside PostgreSQL/Elasticsearch.

On the backend, I design REST APIs with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, and async/await, and I build event-driven microservices with Kafka, Celery, Redis, and robust security (JWT, RBAC, OAuth2). I bring cloud-native DevOps using Docker, Kubernetes (HPA), GitHub Actions CI/CD, NGINX, and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and Jaeger. I’m open to full-time remote and global contract roles, compatible with UTC+2 working hours.
