Matt Roveto
@mattroveto
Experienced teacher and electrical engineer specializing in power systems, smart grids, and STEM education.
What I'm looking for
I am an educator and electrical engineer with deep expertise in electric power systems, smart grids, and STEM instruction. I combine classroom experience teaching AP and advanced STEM courses with graduate-level research in power systems and stochastic electricity markets.
My research has led to publications in IEEE Control Systems Letters and conference proceedings, and I have contributed to interdisciplinary work in materials chemistry. I hold an M.S. and completed Ph.D. coursework in Electrical Engineering at New York University with a 4.00 GPA in the Ph.D. program.
In K–12 education I have taught AP Physics, AP Computer Science A, calculus, advanced engineering, and a broad range of math and physics courses across multiple schools. I emphasize rigorous, hands-on learning and preparing students for advanced study in STEM fields.
I seek roles that leverage both my technical research background in power systems and my proven teaching experience, where I can contribute to curriculum development, applied research, or industry–education partnerships.
