Peter Wu

I am an electrical engineering technologist with hands-on experience in power electronics, PCB analysis, and embedded systems development. I combine academic training with applied R&D work to diagnose design flaws and improve hardware testing efficiency.

At Qualitrol I prototyped power electronics and PCB systems, developed automated data recording integrated with an Oracle database, and built DAQ-based test fixtures that reduced testing time by over 30%. I collaborate closely with firmware and senior engineering teams to validate system performance.

My academic projects at RIT include a real-time respiration monitoring system using Arduino and DSP techniques, transformer and power-conversion circuit design with thermal management, and CMOS/VHDL logic simulation and prototyping. I develop C++ tools and use Matlab for signal analysis and optimization.
