I I'm a functional analyst who works on the messy middle of finance transformation: the gap between what a bank's finance team needs from a report and what the SAP system actually delivers today.
For most of fourteen years that has meant SAP BW reporting for major banks. I run the discovery workshops, write the BRDs and process flows, find the gaps between current and target systems, validate the configuration, and carry the work through UAT and go-live. I'm usually the one handed the rollouts other people would rather not touch.
The work I'm proudest of tends to be the unglamorous kind: clearing a defect backlog everyone had written off without freezing the roadmap, or moving a hundred regulatory reports onto a new platform ahead of a central-bank deadline with no penalties. Reliable beats clever, most days.
That experience spans banking and insurance, and a finance build that grew from six APAC entities to around sixty worldwide. Tools I work in: SAP BW/4HANA and S/4HANA, BO Web Intelligence, ABAP, JIRA, Confluence. Professional Scrum Master I. English and Tagalog.
I trained as an electronics and communications engineer, which is probably why I still reach for a circuit diagram when someone hands me a tangled requirement.
