I’m looking to lead an internal communications team that is empowered to partner with the business to strengthen culture and help employees navigate change — partnering with executives to craft clear narratives, modernize channels, and elevate the employee experience.

@leahgutstadt
Skilled Internal Communications Director, passionate about shaping culture and engaging employees through authentic, clear communications.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Director of Internal Communications who leads employee-facing messaging as a strategic partner to the business. At Shutterfly, I architect and implement a disciplined channel approach—executive emails, town halls, VP forums, and team all-hands—to cascade strategy and financial disclosures with consistency.
I lead communications for major organizational change, including a $100M+ cost transformation initiative and executive transitions with multiple new CEOs and C-suite leaders. I counsel CEO and C-suite leaders on messaging, reputation, and executive visibility, while embedding strategic narratives into financial and operational updates to align leadership with front-line teams.
I’ve also driven audience-centered communications at PwC, developing content for webcasts, email newsletters, and Yammer, and integrating Teams and Yammer into channel strategy to reduce email volume and increase employee dialogue. Earlier in my career, I directed strategic philanthropy and public affairs work, building multi-platform campaigns and producing content that engaged large communities around STEM, volunteering, community, and inclusion.
