At Trading 212, I led the migration of on-premises virtual machines from CentOS to Ubuntu, adapting the Puppet modules and upgrading Puppet from version 4 to version 7.
I owned the on-premises MySQL backup strategy and built scripts and automated reporting for database backups. I also created a daily validation pipeline that restores backups and checks their integrity, with logs and alerts in Elasticsearch and Grafana.
During Trading 212’s migration to AWS, I supported the adoption of Terraform and Terragrunt and took ownership of PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB infrastructure on EC2. I also designed an asynchronous database replica failover that promotes a replica and updates Route53 automatically.
Earlier, I worked in cloud support and system administration, handling database management and migrations, VM provisioning, and technical support. I pick up new technology quickly and enjoy finding practical ways to apply it when it becomes business-critical.
