I am a counseling-centered professional advancing toward licensure with training in clinical psychology and a focus on whole-person wellness. I earned my M.A. in Psychology in Education: Spirituality, Mind and Body from Columbia University’s Teachers College and have applied that training across clinical, educational, and community settings. My work spans direct client support, peer counseling, parent education, culturally responsive programming, and the integration of technology to enhance social emotional learning and well-being.
I provide peer counseling and wellness support for residents at International House, and completed internship training at Newport News Behavioral Health Center where I gained experience in trauma-informed care, crisis support, and multidisciplinary treatment planning. As PTA President at Thurgood Marshall Academy Lower School I led efforts to center social emotional learning in school programming and designed SEL workshops for families. That classroom-to-community pathway inspired my integrative project, SELebrate to Elevate, a two-day parent workshop published in Columbia Academic Commons.
I also contribute to community dialogue and spiritual listening through Tibet Voice and other initiatives, where I focus on active listening, building trust, and fostering cross-cultural understanding. My academic work includes published projects on parent engagement and cultural communication. Recognitions such as the Michael J. Quill Scholarship (2024) and Coca-Cola Scholar distinction reflect both my leadership and my commitment to service.
I am seeking roles that allow me to deepen clinical competencies while also exploring innovative approaches in education technology and wellness. I bring practical counseling experience, program development skills, and a commitment to culturally responsive, integrative care for children, parents, and families.
