Benedicta Benson

I am a dedicated mental health professional with extensive experience in clinical settings, currently serving as a Senior Clinical Mental Health Counseling Therapist Extern at the Black Women's Mental Health Institute. My journey in mental health began with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, followed by a Master of Science in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling, which I am set to complete in December 2024. Throughout my career, I have collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care, conducted over 20 intake assessments weekly, and facilitated individual and group counseling sessions, accumulating over 750 clinical hours of direct client care.

My commitment to mental health advocacy is evident through my impactful presentations and workshops, reaching over 200 individuals and significantly boosting mental health awareness. I have a proven track record of maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations while delivering crisis intervention and connecting clients to essential community resources. My experience as a Behavioral Health and Wellness Coordinator has further honed my skills in care coordination, resulting in improved engagement and adherence to care plans for over 200 members. I am passionate about fostering a supportive environment for clients and continuously seek opportunities for professional development to enhance my clinical skills.
