I came to operations through high-consequence work. I served four years in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Electrician's Mate on MH-60 Seahawk helicopters, then three years as a campus police officer after 800 hours at the Massachusetts State Police Academy. Both taught me the same lesson that governs regulated retail: some categories of error — compliance, inventory integrity, financial data — aren't negotiable, and knowing which problems fall into that category is the whole skill.
On the academic side, I hold a BA in International Relations from Florida International University.
