Ilona Styopin

I’m a Financial Clearance Specialist at PeaceHealth, coordinating the financial side of upcoming procedures for patients. I start with pre-registration and then manage insurance verification, prior authorization, and provider/patient notification.

I work as a connector between patients, insurance companies, department administrators, physicians, and other departments to ensure ideal patient care. I keep information accurate and timely so care can move forward without avoidable delays.

Earlier, I served as a Lead Patient Service Representative at Vancouver Eye Care (2005–2011). I pre-registered patients with accurate financial data, handled phones and filing charts, prepared charts for future appointments, and supported referrals and billing questions.

As a lead, I also managed employee schedules and day-to-day tasks. I bring strong leadership, organization, problem solving, teamwork, and creativity—along with fluency in Russian, Ukrainian, and Romanian—to help teams deliver a better patient experience.
