Ian Darling
@iandarling
I help regulated organizations adopt AI, analytics, and process improvements that measurably stick.
What I'm looking for
I've delivered client-facing cost analysis, reporting, and risk facilitation for Google's global data center construction programs at Turner & Townsend. I translate complex inputs into decisions for client leadership and engineering teams while helping establish reporting procedures, data standards, and centralized cost data.
At National Grid, I served as the group's systems subject matter expert, led training and process improvement, and advised procurement leadership on approximately $960 million in annual third-party spend. I built KPI scorecards, executive dashboards, forecasting tools, and automated weekly regulatory filings used to support operational and commercial decisions.
My earlier work at State Street, Loomis Sayles, and in regulated compliance environments grounded me in structured finance, asset management operations, audit-ready reporting, and research support.
Since December 2025, I've built AI systems hands-on: an AI-augmented research platform with validation gates, an auditable knowledge graph using AI as an adversarial auditor, and daily document and research pipelines. I focus on finding where a tool fits, teaching people to use it, measuring whether adoption holds, and being honest when it does not.
