What I'm looking for

I’m looking for opportunities where I can apply multidisciplinary research and technology expertise to drive real-world impact—especially roles in food security, climate resilience, TVET, and policy-oriented data analytics that support systemic change through evidence.

I’m a results-driven senior researcher with 13+ years bridging food security, environmental sustainability, research, and technological innovation. I bring an academic foundation in Food Science and Post-Harvest Technology (BSc) and Environment and Climate Change Management (MSc), and I focus on impact through collaboration, technical leadership, and evidence-based solutions.

My journey began in the Office of Agriculture, where I led food security and disaster prevention efforts, including preparing strategic plans and mobilizing rural communities for hunger reduction and natural resource rehabilitation programs. I also led assessment of early warning data from 30 woreda and analyzed and reported findings, and my work supported initiatives that reduced malnutrition and unemployment rate in 30 wereda by 30 %.

Over time, I expanded into technology and human development research—coordinating UNDP and JICA project work, supervising labor market research teams, and supporting tracer study research. I coordinated 27 government TVET College and supervised 30 government colleges on TTLM preparation and curriculum development, providing training on TVET strategies, curriculum/TTLM development, and research methodologies.

Today, I serve as a Technology Researcher in the Innovation and Technology Development Bureau – Smart City Department, where I lead IT and smart solutions research to drive forward urban innovation. Alongside my research work, I support micro to industrial-level enterprises through technical training, infrastructure readiness, and global standards implementation such as IFC, GMP, HACCP, Kaizen, and EMS.
